"VERY GOOD" was the judgment of the great poet Giosue 'Carducci to his pupil Giovanni Pascoli. It was the year 1880. "To the illustrious Mr. Prof. Giosuè Carducci," writes a very respectful Giovanni Pascoli, then only a university student, with a difficult childhood to live thanks to a passion for study and literature.
